I signed my Cockerdor up for the scent training courses after it was recommended by a friend. It's been great fun, the trainers were so encouraging and I've now got lots of things to keep my dog busy when she gets bored at home.

We were having problems with recall. Although it was OK. Xena was going too far away from.me to explore. Abbie showed me some great tips how to make xena stay closer but let her be her and continue to enjoy her time off lead. Great advice and experience. Thanks

I chose Barkleys Dog Training Academy in Wakefield for training my Labradoodle because they are passionate about using force-free, positive reinforcement and reward based methods to help dogs thrive. The team were fantastic and my dog responded really well to the positive training and really importantly it helped us make a really strong bond with her. My dog is now a happy and well behaved pup!

We first got involved with Barkleys to help with a strong, pulling Labrador. We worked with Abbie and she taught us how to use positive techniques and different approaches to get it so he will now walk lovely. We have also been to some of their classes with both my boys and then done the scent detection course which my lab loved. If any courses come up in the future that either of my boys would benefit from we’d not hesitate to book them on. They both now attend daycare and I have no concerns leaving them there as I know they are in the best hands.
